Blood Drive!

OWASA, Anna Maria’s and the American Red Cross invite donors to the annual Halloween Blood Drive at OWASA on Friday, October 28th

On Friday, October 28th, the Orange Water and Sewer Authority, Anna Maria’s and the American Red Cross will co-sponsor the annual Halloween blood drive at OWASA from 11 AM to 3:30 PM at 400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro.

"The supply of all blood types at the American Red Cross has dropped to critical levels. As donors, your help is needed now to prevent the delay or cancellation of surgeries.   Patients are counting on Red Cross blood donors at this very moment," said Caroline Allison, American Red Cross Donor Recruitment Representative for the Carolinas Blood Services Region.
To participate in a blood drive, donors must be at least 17 years old (or 16 years old with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds (donors under 19 years old will have to meet certain height and weight requirements), be in general good health and have photo identification.

Anna Maria’s and OWASA will provide food for the blood drive. Presenting donors will receive the chance to win two Delta Air Line tickets.
OWASA’s Community Room will be festively decorated and OWASA staff will be in costume. Donors are invited to join in the fun!
